Palm Springs was the final stop. This would make for a very easy last day of driving (about 1 1/2 hours for me). Sadly, the Palm Springs Travelodge was easily the worst stay of the trip. The employees were nice enough, but the facilities were very sad. The air conditioning was weak (and it was over 100 degrees) so they gladly switched rooms for us. While we were waiting for the new room I made the mistake of jumping in the pool. It was so cloudy I could barely see my feet. I wouldn’t put my head under water. The next morning I noticed that the shower ceiling was black with mold. Not on my list of places to return to.
Kerry and I finished off our last full day with 5 beers each and a really nice dinner. I managed to dump my prime rib, butter, potatoes and veggies onto my lap. We laughed so hard I thought I’d get sick.
But there are no pictures of Palm Springs. Good thing too. What happens on PS, stays in PS.
